16x texture packs match Minecraft's native 16x16 art resolution, which makes them the most performance-friendly packs you can run. Because they add no extra pixels to render, 16x packs are the default choice for competitive PvP, Bedwars and Hypixel players who need maximum FPS, as well as anyone on a low-end PC or laptop. Most default-edit, simplistic and PvP packs are 16x, and they install the same way as any resource pack by dropping the .zip into your resourcepacks folder. If you want more detail and your hardware can handle it, try the 32x packs instead.
